A link building campaign is a plan in which a marketer gets as many links on other websites which point back to a desired website. The more links a website has pointing to it, the better. There are a few techniques. One link building technique is to submit your link in directories. These directories could be business directories, or information directories. Some directory submissions are free, other needs to be paid for. Link building also requires commenting and participating in online conversations. Another link building technique is to surf the web for blogs and/ or forums which relate to your field. These online conversations are a great way to give a bit of information, and then submit a link to your website. As long as these links come with credible information and do not appear to be spam, they will serve a great purpose. Finally link building can be done through networking. Sometimes a face to face conversation or a phone conversation can be a great idea. A great technique is to speak to another website owner, and proposition to trade links. It’s a fair exchange, and one that has equal value to both parties.
